Raised in Fort Collins, Colorado, Stephanie James is a psychotherapist, dynamic public speaker, and published author with nearly 30 years experience in the mental health field. Nominated for Fort Collins Woman of The Year in 2014 and a graduate of Colorado State University and the University of Denver, Stephanie has an unrelenting commitment to help other's achieve their best lives and to become the best versions of themselves.
She has had vast experience in working with people of all ages and backgrounds -from working 10 years as a counselor in elementary schools, to being program manager of a cognitive-behavioral therapy program for seriously mentally ill individuals, to being a mental health therapist working with adolescent, residential psychiatric patients, to working with developmentally disabled individuals, geriatric patients, and now, over 12 years working with adults and couples in her private practice. Stephanie utilizes her expansive knowledge base and insight into the human condition, as well as her ability to deeply listen to the inner-workings of people's hearts to help others to grow, heal, and ignite their best lives.

Stephanie is a leader in a local Random Acts of Kindness women's group and when not writing, she spends her free time with her tribe of co-hearts, her two beautiful daughters and jumping on the trampoline with her grandson.
