Tamika Harden

African-woman born and raised in Jamaica, Queens. She is a professional fitness instructor and bodybuilder. Presently, Tamika trains 200+ women monthly across the NYC tri-state area. She's also a COVID19 survivor.

It was over a decade ago that Tamika approached NYC's foster care in a quest to open the doors of her home to those in most need. At first, Tamika only brought in a 17 year old who had suffered from severe education neglect. The 17 year old had never gone to H.S. Within 3 years under Harden's care, he graduated. Now, at 26 years old, her eldest is independent, working a reputable job and living on his own.

Tamika is currently raising her eldest 2 younger brothers 9 and 11 years of age. Foster care had first reached out to Tamika as they intended on keeping the brother's together. Tamika agreed that the boys should not be separated and did not think twice to adopt them. They have been happily ever after since well taken care of and loved!
