Jeffrey C. May, M.A. is a Certified Indoor Air Quality Professional CIAQP who focuses on allergens in the home and workplace. May is a building consultant, indoor air quality expert, and the principal scientist of May Indoor Air Investigations LLC in Tyngsborough, Mass. He understands cleaning at the microscopic level.

This chemist and expert indoor air quality professional is the author of five books, including Jeff Mays Healthy Home Tips, My House is Killing Me The Home Guide for Families with Allergies and Asthma, The Mold Survival Guide: For Your Home and for Your Health, and My Office is Killing Me The Sick Building Survival Guide.

Mays books allow readers to identify suspected pollutants and allergens in their homes and explain how to get rid of them. The books suggest methods and products for keeping your home clean, without aggravating allergies.

He has conducted indoor environmental investigations in thousands of buildings, including offices, schools, and homes; and he has personally analyzed over 25,000 air and dust samples.

He has lectured nationally on indoor air quality for the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America AAFA, American Chemical Society ACS, American Industrial Hygiene Association AIHA, American Lung Association ALA, American Society of Home Inspectors ASHI, Boston Society of Architects BSA, Harvard School of Public Health, Indoor Air Quality Association IAQA, Mid Atlantic Environmental Hygiene Resource Center MEHRC, and Pan-American Aerobiology Association PAAA.
