Guest Profile

Fuast Ruggiero

My professional career spans over forty years. I have

counseled clients ranging in age from five, and into senior living. I

have counseled people and families in inpatient facilities, prisons, substance abuse

counseling centers, in nursing homes, provided employee assistance

programs to major corporations, and have extensive experience providing

emotional support services to deaf children. I was part of a

team that developed the counseling program for drunk drivers that

became the prototype for the state of Pennsylvania, and is still being

used in many other states. I continue to provide counseling services

for veterans, first responders, law enforcement, and other emergency

personnel. I have taught at the college level, and am published in

several research journals.

I have been in private practice at the Community Psychological

Center, in Bangor, Pennsylvania for over thirty years, specializing

in individual, family, substance abuse, women’s issues, and marital/

couples counseling. During that time, I developed the Process Way

of Life, and have used it with over 2,000 of my clients, helping them

to realize and unleash the power they have inside themselves. With

the Process Way of Life being so successful as a counseling program,

I decided to develop the process-based journey into a written

text. The approach underwent several years of research and program

design, so that it could effectively be communicated in written form.

I want all of you to understand how to present your problems, to

understand them, and I want to provide you with the exact steps

to fix those problems. The Process Way of Life has now been developed

into a written version of the original counseling program, and is presented

in The Fix Yourself Handbook.  The book has been given literary awards

from Literary Titan, The Nonfiction Writer’s Association, and IndieReader.

I have been featured on television, radio, in newspaper columns, and continue

to counsel, and conduct workshops and trainings about the Process Way of Life.
