Evie Lennon

Evie Lennon turned to art for solace after losing most of her family. She spent her professional life teaching others to "draw comfort,'' both as a hospital chaplain in the emergency room and as an art teacher in inner-city classrooms.

Lennon's second calling began when a debilitating disease forced her to retire. Becoming seriously ill on the heels of adopting her paraplegic daughter, "Alma Mater" thrust Lennon into a field trip of the traumatizing cultural response to chronic conditions.

Her approach delivers overdue support, restoring the spirit and dignity of chronically heroic people through the redemptive power of creativity.
