Dave Mead


In 2011, Dave retired from 31 years in the Army (8 years Active Duty/23 years Army Reserves). He commanded at the Company, Battalion, and Brigade levels and deployed in 2008 to Kuwait and Afghanistan as the Deputy Director of the US Central Command (USCENTCOM) Logistics Operations Center. His last duty was as a faculty member at the Center of Strategic Leadership in the US Army War College. Dave is Ranger, Airborne, and Air Assault qualified.

Dave has been on Navigator staff for 33 years and Melody and he have ministered at Vanderbilt University, overseas in Nancy, France, and twelve years at the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY. They moved to Colorado Springs in 2009 to lead the Navigators Military Ministry overseeing over 400 staff who served on 112 military installations around the world. In August 2015, he began his role on leadership team the Navigator Community Ministry (Nav Neighbors) and as a facilitator of the Navigator Missions strategic think tank.  

In February 2017, Dave co-founded WeAlign LLC, a strength-based, joy-focused coaching firm.  He became a Certified StrengthsFinder® Coach in October 2016 and a Strengths Champion™ Certified Coach in July 2018. He has helped over 150 clients grow in their “being” (identity) and “belonging” (community) through aligning their design.

Dave is Chairman of the Board for the Caribbean Ministries Association and a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM). He values fun and freedom; enjoys reading, speaking, and golf; and is at awe with God’s love and the power of coaching.
