The From Burnout to Recovery Show with Dr. Kate: Your Journey to Burnout Recovery Starts Here: Episode 46 - Stop Before You Start with Guest Chelsie WardEpisode 46 brings Chelsie Ward to the table with unrealistic expectations as child that caused so many health problems.  These only got worse as she got into college and had no energy to do anything. Sugar addiction kept her moving but barely.  It was a vicious cycle.  Finally realizing that her boundaries were not clear cut and her burnouts were the fault of her own lack of managing time and resources.  

 

Every person needs to set the expectation for themselves to pause and be still and breathing intentionally, and doing things that feed their heart and mind. And to protect that time against distractions and priorities. Starting the day calmly, slowly, breathing and focusing on that actually causes a physiological change in our nervous system and organs and relieves pain. Stepping away during the day. Schedule the break to slow down, take a walk, breathe deeply to maintain that calm. 

 

Chelsie Ward has a background in Applied Behavior Analysis, is a Registered Nurse, FDN Practitioner, energy healer, and certified in functional medicine. She is the author of, “Healed His Way” where she shares natural healing techniques that have been used by thousands of others so they can experience health the way it was intended. 

 

It was her personal journey of being failed by the traditional medical system that offered no resolution to her digestive issues and hormone imbalances. This led to a final breaking point in her own health. As she searched for answers, she learned that food is medicine and our bodies are created to heal themselves. She helps women transition after birth control so they can balance hormones naturally, improve digestion, and feel confident in a body they love. 

 

Our Recovery Moment in this show is focused on a meditation of mindfulness in our speech.
