Aging is a biological process characterized by time-dependent, progressive-physiological declines accompanied by the increased incidence of age-related diseases. Oxidative damage to DNA, proteins, lipids and other cellular components accumulates over time and has been theorized to to be a major cause of aging and age-associated diseases.
